IMPLEMENTATION OF PREDICTOR-CORRECTOR INTEGRATOR FOR THE SOLUTION OF INITIAL VALUE PROBLEM

Abstract

This paper developed a six-step third derivative exponentially fitted integrator of order eight for
the numerical solution of some initial value-related problem. This integrator possesses a free
parameter based on predictor-corrector mode. The scheme constructed was embedded into an
exponentially fitted formula. The Stability analysis of this scheme was examined and
implemented with the help of MatLab software to solve some initial value problems formulated
from optimization problems. Numerical results show that the new integrator is favorably
compared with the existing methods in the literature.
